Nikon Coolpix Compatibility

Older Ikelite SubStrobes, famous for their compatibility with all Nikon camera systems, require modification when used with a sync cord on the newest Nikon digital cameras. An older unmodified strobe may lock up the camera after taking one picture. All SubStrobe models produced after June 1, 2001 include this modification. Our new DS model SubStrobes are designed for use with the newest Nikon digital cameras, Nikon F-5 Action Finder cameras, and the Nikonos. The modified strobe sync circuit allows the strobes to operate with any Nikon system, but will prevent their use with some older Minolta and Pentax cameras.
