The special Very High Intensity bulb introduced with the new PC Lite offers substantial intensity increase when installed in the Mini C-Lite. The Mini-C should never leak if the "O" ring is between the lens and the body, and the cap is screwed down TIGHT. This instruction may get confused because other brands crack or break when over-tightened. The Mini-C series MUST be tight, and is guaranteed NOT to break. The only other concern is the cap vibrating loose; check that it is tight before entering the water. Batteries occasionally leak a very corrosive liquid that will remove the coating on the reflector. This condition is often confused with underwater leakage which will not affect the reflector coating. Check the bulb and the batteries if the light fails to operate. The ring cap must be tightened sufficiently for the light to turn on. The switch contact is the other possibility why a light will not turn on or off. The "U" shape of the switch contact can be adjusted if necessary. Correct space between the "U" contact and the flat contact beneath it is about 3/32". The light will not turn on if this space is too great; and the light will not turn off if the contacts are touching. |
